A AI-based greenhouse and an app designed to enhance mental health \u2013 these are the startup ideas that two teams from the Technical University of Darmstadt are embarking on in 2024. Supported by the Hessen Ideas Scholarship, an initiative of the state of Hesse, they receive monthly financial assistance and undergo a six-month accelerator program. During this time, they can develop a validated business model from their idea, make connections, and prepare for their business launch.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n

Gedyte \u2013 the smart greenhouse.<\/strong><\/p>\n

With the goal of developing an artificially intelligent greenhouse, the Gedyte team, consisting of Tizian Kernstock, Vincent Hane, Melissa Sinci, and Julia Selua Kramer, begins their entrepreneurial journey. By using artificial intelligence in conjunction with proprietary hardware and a machine learning model, they aim to increase the quantity and predictability of yields.<\/p>\n

Inumel – actively improving mental health.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Inumel team, composed of Oliver Mayer, Jasmine Urban, and Nina Hummel, has developed the Inumel app, which aims to actively improve mental health. The application provides patients with quick and uncomplicated access to psychological tools while waiting for therapy. Personalized strategies aim to support resilience, optimize personal resources, and navigate difficult everyday situations. The team relies on effective methods and scientifically grounded techniques.<\/p>\n

\nHessen Ideas is an initiative of the state of Hessia, Hessian universities, and Hessian companies. Through the Hessen Ideas Scholarship, Hessen Ideas Competition, Hessen Ideas Crowdfunding, and the Hessen Ideas University Network pillars, entrepreneurial ideas at universities are discovered and promoted.
