The TUDa Innovations project DÏoT is developing a self-learning system for detecting cyber attacks in the Internet of Things. For the further development of this new security solution, the start-up is now supported with 700,000 euros from the StartUpSecure | ATHENE funding program of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
DÏoT emerged from the research team of the System Security Labs at the Technical University of Darmstadt: The project is led by Thien Nguyen, who is currently a research assistant in the field of security for IoT security. He is supported by Phillip Rieger, a specialist in AI algorithms. Providing advisory support are Professors Markus Miettinen, Professor of IT Security and Programming at the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences, and Prof. Dr.-Ing Ahmad-Reza Sadeghi, Professor of Computer Science at TU Darmstadt and Head of the System Security Lab, both of whom have contributed to the development of the innovative solution.
