Meet the InnovationScouts and Talk About Your Idea!

Do you have a research idea, an interesting observation from your work, or would you like to explore the application potential of your research? Then join us at the Ideas Café on July 7th, 2026.
In a relaxed and informal setting, researchers at the Technical University of Darmstadt can discuss their ideas and questions with the InnovationScouts*. The Ideas Café offers an opportunity to present research ideas, explore their potential, and learn about possible next steps – with no prior preparation required.
There is no need to book an appointment with the InnovationScouts. However, to gain access to the machBAR, you must register for the “Freies Werkeln” session via Moodle.
About the Ideas Café
The Ideas Café takes place on the first Tuesday of every month. The next session will be held on July 7th, 2026 during the “Freies Werkeln” time slot at the machBAR@PTW (L1|14) on the Lichtwiese campus. Additional dates and locations will be announced in due course.
*About the InnovationScouts
Every day, new research findings and ideas with innovation potential emerge at the Technical University of Darmstadt. The InnovationScouts support researchers in identifying, assessing, and strategically developing this potential at an early stage – from the initial idea through to possible fields of application.
