Dr Sara Jourdan, researcher at Technische Universität Darmstadt and co-founder of the AI start-up Genow.ai, has been selected for the Forbes “30 Under 30 Europe 2025” list. The magazine recognises her conviction that “major projects can be realised through initiative and vision.”
Jourdan studied industrial engineering at TU Darmstadt and completed her PhD at the Chair of Information Systems | Software & AI Business led by Professor Peter Buxmann, where she has been a research associate since 2021. Her research explores how artificial intelligence (AI) can support decision-making processes in companies, work for which she has already received several awards.
Alongside her academic role, Jourdan is CEO and co-founder of the start-up Genow.ai, which helps organisations systematically leverage their internal knowledge with the support of AI.
“It feels somewhat surreal, and I am incredibly happy to be included in the Forbes 30 Under 30 list 2025,” says Sara Jourdan. “Moments like this are a reminder of how much can be achieved when you are surrounded by great people. My sincere thanks go to my co-founders, our Genow team and Technische Universität Darmstadt – this environment has opened many doors for us.”
For HIGHEST, the university’s innovation and start-up centre, this recognition highlights the potential of research-driven entrepreneurship at TU Darmstadt – and how closely excellent research, AI expertise and entrepreneurial spirit are intertwined here.
