The TU start-up dianovi (formerly MySympto) was awarded the Digital Innovation Start-up Prize at the Federal Government’s Digital Summit for its innovative emergency app. The app helps emergency doctors make precise diagnoses under pressure and choose the optimal treatment method.

Dr. Anna Christmann, the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) Commissioner for Digital Economy and Start-ups, presented the team with a prize of €7,000. The jury particularly praised the high potential of the innovation to prevent misdiagnoses and the team’s technical expertise.

“It was a great experience, and we are very happy about this award,” said Elias Hofmann, CEO of dianovi. The close connection to TU Darmstadt was highlighted by the jury as a special advantage.

The success of dianovi is remarkable:

out of 300 applications, only 21 start-ups were awarded. The BMWK’s “Start-up Competition – Digital Innovations” is aimed at aspiring entrepreneurs and young start-ups with innovative digital business ideas from various fields, ranging from energy and healthcare to culture and creative industries.
