Kassel, February 24, 2025 – Six startup teams from Hessian universities are launching their crowdfunding campaign today as part of the Future of Foods competition. Initiated by Hessen Ideen and Unikat Crowdfunding, the campaign supports innovative solutions for food security, sustainable production, and smart agricultural technologies. Up to €5,000 per team will be provided through a 1-to-1 crowdfunding model. Supporters have until March 24, 2025, to financially contribute to the projects and actively participate in shaping a more sustainable food supply.
Among the funded startups is GEDYTE from TU Darmstadt, which is developing an AI-powered monitoring system for small greenhouses. Other participating teams include Ceres FieldCheck (digital agricultural analysis), Cultura Sustain (sustainable production approaches), GOPREP (food preparation), Preserve Food (food preservation methods), and REVOJA (resource-efficient food concepts).
The initiative is under the patronage of Timo Gremmels, Hessian Minister for Science, Research, Arts, and Culture.
